Product Overview
A high-frequency UPS is a power protection device based on high-frequency switching technology. Its core function is to quickly switch to backup power through a built-in energy storage device (such as a battery) when the mains power is interrupted or abnormal, so as to provide stable and uninterrupted power support for the load equipment.
Performance characteristics:
- High Conversion Efficiency: Utilizing IGBT high-frequency PWM rectification and inversion technology, eliminating the need for a line-frequency transformer, full-load efficiency typically reaches 95%–96% (compared to approximately 88%–92% for line-frequency UPS). High efficiency is maintained even under light loads, resulting in significant energy savings.
- High efficiency (90%-95%): Reduces energy loss, suitable for data centers and other scenarios.
- Small Size and Light Weight: Due to its operating frequency (20–100kHz) being much higher than the line frequency (50/60Hz), magnetic components are significantly reduced in size. For the same power output, its size and weight are only 1/3–1/2 that of a line-frequency UPS, facilitating rack mounting or space-constrained environments.
- High Input Performance: Standard active PFC (Power Factor Correction) ensures an input power factor >0.99 and input harmonic distortion <3%–5%, making it grid-friendly and requiring no additional filtering compensation.
- Zero-Interruption Switching and Fast Dynamic Response: The online double-conversion architecture achieves 0ms mains/battery switching time and high output voltage and frequency regulation accuracy (e.g., ±1%), suitable for sensitive loads such as servers, communications, and medical applications.
- Strong trends towards modularity and intelligence: Mainstream products support hot-swappable modules, N+X redundancy, remote monitoring, and battery health management, facilitating expansion and maintenance.
