Steps for Using a UPS Power Supply

UPS power supply is a power equipment that will not be interrupted by brief power outages, can continuously supply high-quality power, and effectively protect precision instruments. Correctly following the steps to turn on and off the UPS power supply can avoid damage to the UPS power equipment caused by the instantaneous current surge during startup, which can shorten the service life of the UPS power supply. The following provides a detailed explanation of the installation of UPS power supply from startup to shutdown.

UPS power installation steps

1. Clearly define the operating environment of UPS power supply, which should be clean, dry, free of dust, corrosive gases, etc;

2. The specific installation path and channel should be able to withstand the weight of the cabinet.

3. After installing the UPS power battery, the total voltage of the battery system and the open circuit voltage of individual batteries should be checked, and the positive and negative polarity should be ensured to be correctly connected.

4. Check whether the battery management parameters in the switch power monitoring unit are consistent with those in this manual.

UPS power startup steps

1. First, confirm whether the input and output line connections are correct.

2. Close the power input switch, and the panel indicator light will turn on. If the rectifier switch is not closed within 1 minute, a battery low voltage alarm message will appear and the buzzer will sound.

3. Close the rectifier switch, and the alarm information will be automatically eliminated. If the input phase sequence connection is correct, the rectifier will start within 1 minute and switch from the bypass state to the inverter state.

4. Close the bypass switch.

5. Close the battery switch.

6. Close the output switch.

7. After adding the load, turn off the rectifier switch and observe whether the battery can work normally. Then close the rectifier switch and the UPS enters normal working state.

UPS power shutdown operation steps

1. Turn off the output switch after removing the load;

2. Turn off the battery switch;

3. Close the bypass switch;

4. Turn off the rectifier switch.

Additionally, it should be noted that the maintenance bypass switch should only be closed during UPS power maintenance or when UPS power equipment malfunctions. It is prohibited to close it under normal UPS inversion.

Reminder from kilohertz UPS power supply manufacturers: To ensure the service life and normal operation of UPS power equipment, it is necessary to follow the installation, startup, and shutdown operation steps.
