Precautions for Safe Use of UPS Power Supplies

There are many high-voltage energy storage devices inside the UPS power host. Please do not open the chassis for inspection without authorization. Operators must understand the basic knowledge of electricians and read the user manual thoroughly.

Here are some precautions for using UPS power supplies. Proper operation can extend the lifespan and efficiency of the system.

1. There are many high-voltage energy storage devices inside the UPS power host. Please do not open the chassis for inspection without authorization. Operators must understand the basic knowledge of electricians and read the user manual thoroughly.

2. Do not dismantle various connecting cables without authorization. Contact the supplier or after-sales technical service personnel for operation.

3. Do not move the UPS uninterruptible power supply system at will, avoid strong cracking and vibration, and maintain good ventilation.

4. UPS power supplies are generally connected to batteries, and even without AC mains power, there may still be voltage present at their output terminals.

5. When the UPS uninterruptible power supply system needs to be moved or rewired, it must be ensured that the UPS is completely shut down, and the air circuit breakers for the mains and battery inputs are disconnected. Otherwise, there may still be electricity in the output, posing a risk of electric shock.

6. To ensure the personal safety of users, UPS power products must have good grounding protection.

7. Please keep the intake and exhaust holes unobstructed. Poor ventilation of the intake and exhaust holes can lead to an increase in temperature inside the UPS power supply, shortening the lifespan of components in the machine and affecting the overall lifespan of the machine.

8. Liquids or other foreign objects are absolutely not allowed to enter the UPS power box.

9. In case of a fire around, please use a dry powder fire extinguisher. There is a risk of electric shock if a liquid fire extinguisher is used.

10. The lifespan of UPS batteries decreases with the increase of ambient temperature. Regular battery replacement can ensure the normal operation of the UPS system and maintain sufficient backup time.

11. If not in use for a long time, the UPS power system must be stored in a dry environment.

12. When the UPS power supply is not used for a long time, it is recommended to connect the UPS power supply for more than 12 hours every 3 months to charge the battery, in order to avoid battery damage due to long-term disuse.

13. Do not open the UPS battery box, as the electrolyte can cause damage to the skin and eyes. If you accidentally come into contact with the electrolyte, you should immediately clean it with plenty of water and go to the hospital for examination.

14. Do not use a damp towel to wipe away dirt when charged.

15. UPS batteries must be replaced by professional technicians, and the replaced batteries must be sent to a special recycling mechanism for processing.
